I decided to focus my project on how lens aperture impacts the resulting exposure.
In order to show how different lens apertures impact light, I decided to make a lens that reacts to a potentiometer input, also tied to a variable LED to visually demonstrate both how changing aperture shows on the lens itself and on the picture output.
The circuit was pretty simple and is shown below. A potentiometer controls both the LED and motor.
The different aperture sizes are shown below!
One of my biggest difficulties in this project was getting the potentiometer to react– it was still pretty iffy and got banged up at some point so its output was jumpy.
