Project Overview:

There may always be frustrating, depressing moments in our lives, yet we continue working hard to move forward in search of the light in our lives. Each person has their own interpretation of this light—whether as inspiration, success, or connections with others. We must define our “light” and turn it into motivation for our life journey, guiding us through the dark moments.

The aim of this project is to explore the medium of cybertext, experiment with the interactivity of gamification, and examine the possibilities of digital media art. The project draws inspiration from the classic computer game, Flappy Bird, while introducing game design elements into Emily Dickinson’s poem, Hope is the thing with feathers. I aim to investigate how computation can innovate the way audiences interpret and experience literary works.
